Typing test questions
What is a good typing speed for an office job?
Most data entry and office jobs in India expect at least 30–35 WPM with 95% accuracy or better. Typist and data entry roles often ask for 40 WPM or more.
How is WPM calculated?
Every 5 correctly typed characters count as one word. Your WPM is the number of correct words divided by the minutes taken. Mistakes don't count toward your speed.
How can I improve my typing speed?
Keep your fingers on the home row, don't look at the keyboard, focus on accuracy before speed, and practise for 15 minutes every day.
